II. Material & Craftsmanship

  • Top-Grade Materials: Crafted entirely from industrial-grade M2 High-Speed Steel (HSS) and enhanced with a precision titanium-coated surface.
  • Enhanced Hardness & Heat Resistance: While HSS offers exceptional cutting performance, the titanium coating pushes surface hardness, wear resistance, and heat tolerance to the next level. Precision heat treatment minimizes friction and prevents high-temperature wear during continuous drilling, significantly extending tool life.
  • Double-Flute Cutting Edge: Designed with dual cutting edges and precise step geometry for fast cutting speeds, smooth chip evacuation, and tight tolerances, minimizing cutting resistance and boosting efficiency.

III. Key Features

  • All-in-One Versatility: Specially engineered for electrical switchboard installation, control box modification, sheet metal work, and hole enlargement. Eliminates the hassle of frequently changing bits and drills multiple diameters in one pass.
  • Wide Application: Highly versatile for drilling and precision machining on metal sheets (iron, copper, aluminum, thin stainless steel), wood, and plastics.
  • Trusted Quality: Backed by over 30 years of industry experience, highly recommended by professional electricians, sheet metal workers, and hardware specialists.

IV. Usage & Maintenance Guide

【Proper Usage】

  • Tool Compatibility: Features a standard Hex Shank design suitable for standard hand drills, cordless impact drivers, and drill presses.
  • No Pilot Hole Needed: Step drills feature self-centering and efficient cutting properties. For large-sized holes, direct center drilling is recommended without pre-drilling a pilot hole to maintain cutting stability and prevent chipping.
  • Speed Control: Recommended operating speed is ≤ 500 r.p.m. The larger the hole diameter, the slower the drill speed should be. High-speed blind drilling is strictly prohibited to prevent overheating and tool damage.
  • Cutting Technique: Feed slowly using an intermittent "engage-and-release" technique, and always use cutting oil or water for proper cooling and lubrication to maximize tool life.

【Routine Maintenance】

  • Cleaning: Remove residual chips and debris from flutes after use. Wipe away oil, sweat, or cutting fluid with a clean cloth and store in a dry environment.
  • Periodic Oiling: Apply a thin layer of rust-preventive or lubricating oil to the metal surface if storing for extended periods.
  • Storage: Keep securely in the storage case to prevent edge damage caused by impact.
